Someone please verify for me! - 200E Axles...

Having some issues with an eBay sale. I sold an axle (pic's below) that as far as I know came from a 1983 200E and he says that it is different than the axle for his 1982 200E. I had him look at a few things and he says he is certain that his bike is a 82 200E and that the rear end is stock. Am I mistaken, do these axles not interchange? Look the same as best as I can tell and I see the part number as interchanging. I thought all 200E and 200M axles swapped? Wouldn't be an issue because I don't accept returns and I clearly listed what bike the part was from but I included the number 82 at the end of the title as a key word type deal and he feels I misrepresented the item because of this. I don't think I would lose with eBay if he opened a case but I am sure it would earn me my first negative feedback on there if I can't show him for sure that it should fit his bike. Please set me straight if I am wrong! Thanks.

Definitely an 83 200e axle. Can't speak to the 82 swap issues but looking at my manual there is no section in the "83 addendum" that speaks of a difference.

The 82 and 83 axles have different part numbers but i thought they are the same, just the 83 having a later issue number
