Hello, from Alaska. I've got an addiction to red 3 wheelers. The wife tried to get me help, but I ordered parts instead. kid rides a 3 trike combo of who knows what, and a 185 motor, and my love is my 200e. my other addiction, is old LT zooks, up to the 15speed queen quads, and 2 stroke polaris's.........

I've been reading info off of here for years, and decided to join, because I have questions. My 200e is a turd, with spark knock, or piston slap (under power), been that way for years, so I have decided to put a 10-1 wiseco piston, web cam and valvetrain, port it a little, and throw an xr200 carb, and RCM pipe at it too....... unless someone has better recommendations? I've never done it before, and didn't want to guess on carb boots, air box, jets, and all that stuff, if someone has already done it. we mostly use the wheelers for swamps, and trails. (was thinking stage 1 or 2 cam?) that's all. :beer If anyone has any good ideas, I'm humble.

Welcome. Don't overdo it with the power parts. I've read that you can overpower the auto clutches on these things. Although I'm planning on doing something similar to my future auto x project. Hope you have good luck with your project!

Man I don't know why not just rebuild it back to stock. It will be more reliable easier to start. You wont believe the power boost you will get just by honing and replacing the piston ring. But if you do go this route please please please beef up everything else to handle the extra power because if you don't you will blow something up real fast. Just my two cents

The stock 200's just don't have enough power for me. We put a 10-1 piston, stage 1 cam, and two sizes up on the jet on the kids 185, and it runs circles around me, starts first pull, and still sips the gas. So I thought I'd do mine a step up. I plan on a new clutch, etc.

10:1 piston, 40b camshaft from webcams and DG/RCM pipe will be good enough. You won't need valve springs or hardened rockers with the 40b. You don't need to port it unless you are looking for extra work. With those mods you can get away with the stock 24mm 200x carb. Stay with the 40 pilot and and increase main to 118 as a start on jetting. Don't forget to upgrade you air filter as well. I recommend UNI.

I already ported a head, and sent it off to web, with rockers and a cam..... :-/

Next you ought to find an old 200x so you can have some decent suspension. Either ay, have fun!

This is my swamp mobile. If I'm going trail bombing, I'll take the predator. :-)
