If so, could you measure the length and width of the radiator for me pretty please?

Thanks,
Bryan

Thanks brother. That is exactly what I'm looking for. Do you think the top of the tank to the bottom of the bottom tank is right at 9 inches? The shroud I'm going to be using will fit a radiator a little over 9" long and I planned on having the cap stick out above the shroud.

Do you think that will cool a 250? Seems a lot smaller than the stock one.

I think it will. It be mostly on the small indoor flat track. The race is usually over before the engine is warm.

If it's a older model, strip the paint off it will run cooler and be more efficient and run a higher pressure cap, distilled water with water wetter.

I have "Doubled them up" with good results as well.

Do you have pictures of the shroud you're using? This intrigues me. If you keep making cool 1st Gen stuff I might have to build myself one. Are you altering the steering stops to get more movement side to side? I talked with Terry Hillen for a while at ashtabula, he showed/told me some cool things they used to do back in the day on first gens

1983 KTM 125 shrouds. They are freely mounted to the radiator and don't bolt to the bottom of the gas tank like 99 percent of dirt bike shrouds.

I'm going to do the Jimmy White Tecate Manual and make spacers to move the tank back and grind the stops. I have an old seat that has already been cut back for this mod.

DC plastics will also make the shrouds s in green which is cool.

DC plastics will sell just the right side shroud for $32 in any color they offer. That's pretty cool

Yep, that's exactly what he told me. He also said you could get a little more if you notched the top triples where they would hit the tank. Cool shroud, can't wait to see this.

Well I ordered the shroud in Kawasaki Green and a radiator off eBay, so now we'll see what I can cobble together.
