So I picked up an 85 Honda 250SX a few weeks back.... I had an issue with a loose left wheel.... when I tightened the axle nut the whole rear end locked up!!! I finally tore it appart only to find the axle bearings were mere shards remaining of what should have been there, previous owner left out the left and right collars, and the "C" clip for the right axle housing is missing.

I ordered all new bearings and seals, got some decent used left and right side axle collars from an online site, but can not for the life of me find the "C" clip that is on the right side axle only. The manual I have dosent show a clear pic of it..... in fact the clip, bearings, and seal all almost look the same!!!

If anyone has one of these clips they could spare please PM me with price...... its the last thing I need to ride! Thanks in Advance!!

That part is still available new from honda the part number is 94520-58000 here is the link to it on partzilla it is number 27 on the assembly http://www.partzilla.com/parts/search/Honda/ATV/1985/ATC250SX+A/SWINGARM+%2B+PROPELLER+SHAFT+85/parts.html . All it is is a cir clip any way you could probably find one at the hardware store if you wanted too its a 58MM but I would just buy the one from honda just for piece of mind.

Be aware tho partzilla doesn't always have their system updated. I ordered a part from them they showed was available then got an email later saying the part was discontinued.

yea that's why I use partzilla get their price and then go my local honda dealer and they match partzillas prices and I get it shipped to the dealer for free. THe best part is I get ot go back to the dealer and look at all the pretty bike that I want to use as parts bikes for my old three wheelers. You would not believe how many parts of these new bikes are direct bolt on to the old bikes even if they have different part numbers.
