Got 1 running and 2 almost complete yamaha tri moto 125s today for 325. And an extra bottom end and an extra set of front forks and some extra plastic. On the running one it needs a choke cable and the pull start fixed other than that its in decent shape. Needs a seat cover too. I don't think I did too bad??

Do the other 2 have the parts that you need for the running one?

Yup, you scored! I'd leave the runner stock, and combine/mod the others into something more performance oriented. Or just part them out and end up with one for free, maybe even turn a small profit. Whatever you decide to do, have fun!

On the running one the recoil doesn't go back in by itself sometimes. There is a spare recoil in the box of parts but I don't think the spring is there. No extra choke cable. Also when it's running you can kind of hear something rattling around like inside the pull start cover?

Also it seems a little down on power like a fouled plug. The guy I bought it from said it needs a plug once in awhile. I'll clean the carb and put a new plug in and see how it runs.

Messed around a little with it today and had to order some parts for the pull start. Got a new plug and air filter too. Was looking around and one of the carb overflow tubes that run up towards the intake was tied off in a knot? Would that cause any issues?

If its the only vent for the float bowl, yes it will cause a problem. Slightly less of a problem if the carb has more than one vent. Untie it and see how it does.

I cut the knot off. And like a dummy I tried to pull the old line off the carb and ended up snapping the vent nipple off the side of the carb. I'm glad I have extras.
