I don't recall seeing any KTM, Husqavarna, TM, Gas Gas or later model, large displacment 2 stroke dirt bikes converted to 3 wheelers around here or anywhere why is this? The Lagers Honda 500 is really the only one I have seen. There are large displacements 2 strokes that are still being made by these companies today right? So why have I not seen some dudes Gas Gas 300 cc three wheeler or a KTM whatever huge cc? I mean has anyone even changed a 2007 yz 250 over to a YZ3 ? A TM with watercooled cases, a 2000+ kx, what am I missing here, these would be all that and a mouthful of if your coming to this fight you better bring your lunch bucket. People make triples, swingarm, pipes, subframes...not comprehending why not change them over to three wheels, even for the weekend. Price isn't a detourant for many, what's the deal?

I've seen pics of some very nice KTM conversions and a few Husky's.

Be a trailblazer and start a build thread of your choice! Any bike you mentioned would be a cool build to follow on 3WW

Because 4 strokes are easier to ride.... I'm thinking of building another kawasaki aluminum frame450/250f and putting a my 500 in it.

There are KX500 conversions along with 450 Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha. They are out there.
A KTM525 would be awesome IMO.
I thought the guy who showed up to trikefest with a street bike trike and blew everyone away on the drag strip was pretty funny. I think he came out of nowhere and never came back cause there wasnt even any competition. haha!
I've thought about this for a couple years and I think i figured it out very recently. You can take a vintage trike, add inverts and an aftermarket shock and have a top notch trike. To build a modern hybrid 2 stroke the only real difference you're going to have is modern looks. I think the reason people (including myself) are building hybrids is the get the modern 4 stroke motor. I could be wrong, but it's just something I've come up with
