Hey guys been a while since i have posted but tonight i picked up an 84 YTM 200 shaft drive for 200 bucks, it needs some carb work but its all there and the starter works and lights once on a charger (battery needs charged/replaced) but i bought it as a winter project! Unfortunately it doesnt have reverse as i thought it would, trying to figure out if it is actually a 200... its shaft driven and has front and back shocks, electric start and has 200 plastics, it had both front and back racks but no reverse like a yamahauler, if anyone can shed some light it would be awesome!

The 85' s came with reverse. Post some pictures. See if your engine #'s and your frame numbers match.

Sweet find, esp if all it needs is carb work. Might be able to find a bolt on from something different or even adapt one. I pit a 200x carb on a suzuki quadrunner,i posted how i did it in new member area under thread lifan cdi on suzuki. Hope ya get it runnin those things are getting rarer than hens teeth

thank you, i have seen carbs on ebay but they are wanting 90 bucks for one. might just break down and buy it, i also need to get a bearing for the rear end on the break side as it has play plus as i was tearing down the trike the wire broke off the coil so i will have to put a new one of those on after i get the broken bolt out of there that the previous owner left. other than that its getting all torn apart and repainted this winter as a project for the other half so she will have something to play around on, might do a build thread on it as i have pictures of the progress so far, pulling the engine soon and they the forks and then the prep work for paint... the hardest and most important lol
