Hey all. Now that I'm back in AZ, I'm seriously thinking of picking up another 1983 or 84 250R. Recently got a pickup to haul one (1970 C/10). Next in line is to locate a decently priced R.
Before doing so, however, I was wondering if someone had a list of places we can ride in Arizona. While I enjoy the dunes, I'd like some closer to the Phoenix-area places to ride for when I don't want to press my old truck into action or just want to go for a few hours. I've done a search and a bunch of the threads were pretty old. I know how laws can change regarding riding, so just wanted something more up to date (not that there were many locations listed).
Appreciate the help.

Thanks guys. Do you ever encounter any issues with having a "dangerous" 3-wheeler?

The Flagstaff Cinders are a incredible place to ride, Arizona is trike friendly, you can still race MX here and get a trike street legal too

The back side of Lake Pleasant is popular and cool, good camping by the lake too, plus you can take the mining/jeep trails all the way up to Crown King at almost 8000 feet. Hang by the lake Horse Thief Basin, eat a killer burger and some world famous fudge and a cool beer if that's your thing.

I forgot, the nicest people around live in Crown King, don't be surprised if you are offered to ride a tricked out quad or UTV just replace the gas.
And I am talking tricked out, UTV with a huge mods and 3 feet of travel.

Check out the Mogollon Rim, 30 mins east of Payson, take the Woods Canyon Lake turn off and then keep going past the entrance to Woods Canyon Lake to the washboard dirt road there is tons of trails on both sides 7000-8000 feet and great weather in the summer. BTW the Aspen campground by Woods Canyon Lake is Awesome and the lake is very nice, great people at the general store.
I-10 & Miller road.
I-10 & 329th Ave, south side of the I-10 in the wash.
Lots of riding by Lake Bartlet, many top Extreme Enduro guys practice out there.
The White Tank Mountains, on the North side by Surprise, AZ.

Glamis is not too far and is AWESOME! I prefer Gecko, Ogilby second.
The Coral Pink Sand Dunes is like Heaven with sand, just a beautiful area (Northern AZ, Southern UT border) Make the trip to Zion to sight see, it's worth it. (Eat at "EATS") in Kanab, UT.
I have more if you need.
I won't mention all the great places we lost over the years from- Homes, rock pits, golf courses, mountain reserves and BMW dealerships!
