"Wet" exhaust coming from '85 25R exhaust joint

I'm having premix exhaust leaking out of the joint at the exhaust inlet from the cylinder head. It's got a new gasket/joint and springs, but I am getting the front of my left boot sprayed with oil while riding. I'm betting that this affects performance on a 2-stroke, but what's the best way to resolve the issue?

What type of exhaust manifold are you running, OEM or Billet style? When you said you replaced gasket are you talking the gasket between the manifold and cylinder or the O-rings (on billet style) or Snap ring sealer thingy (OEM)? Is your exhaust pipe inlet completely round? Need a little more info to make sure you replaced everything necessary to seal exhaust up.
