So because i cant find any topics on just skis. I figured for the people who live around snow can see all the different kinds. I think bolting a ski to a front tire seems point less. So lets see the skis.

Made this a couple of years ago. Have a second one started for the same model trike, and the dimensions for the 85 250ES ski. Unfortunately life keeps shoveling me loads of krap to deal with so I haven't had time to finish making more :(

Just got about 6 inches of snow last night, I may try to get the ski back on the machine, but we have no base yet, so I would probably be down to dirt in no time........

I always wondered if haveing a wider ski for wide tire 3 wheelers would be better.

It's a Camoplast "All Terrain" ski, 7 inches wide by 41 inches long with a little over 3/4 of an inch keel

The only problem I had was when the snow got too deep and the rear axle started dragging in the snow. I did have a problem with the ski being "darty" but I had a 6 inch carbide on the ski. I'm going to order up a set of 4 inch carbides and try those to see if it makes a difference. If I could find a skag with just a hard weld wear bar I would try that too, but I think a 4 inch carbide will do the trick. The carbide allows me to do donuts on ice without the front tire slipping. ;)

It was fun as hell tho!

So I've tried mounting half of a snowboard on 5he front tire, and the width was great for floating on top of the snow, but the flat bottom made steering impossible. I'm picking up some JWheelz tire extenders next week for the rear, so I'm trying to figure out a new idea for the front. I'm thinking of mounting 2 Snow Machine skis side by side.
