AK47KID beat me to it. A magnet will find a needle real fast. Bad to the bone has the right idea...hitting the target market of 3 wheeler owners. Its up to us to help the member out. Most members probably are not checking so yes its is going to be tough to find. Hell, i tracked down my first 3 wheeler a couple years ago in California so I know its possible.

Nebraska is a state where u dont have to carry insurance, or have a title or registration on a atv, and I bet it is still around here in the area it was sold in. just sitting in someones shed or barn.

sad thing is a lot of those 350xs had frames crack and brake so people tossed them and sold the parts off. lets hope this was not the case with yours.

07-13-2016, 12:49 AM
Yeah, i bought 3 350x's back in april and they only had rear seat mount cracks.in which is a common place for cracks on a 350x.

Have you contacted any Honda dealerships in the target area? If they did some work on it they may have the VIN on file; or you may find a parts person that remembers someone coming in talking about a 350x. It's a smaller world than we think, best of luck!

Ran VIN threw Honda dealership website. Just shows was registered in your dads name, thought maybe buyer may have changed.

11-22-2016, 12:47 AM
Thx for doing that SELF27. The problem is that here in nebraska u dont have to register it, insure it, plate it, title it at all. So the odds of finding it is very slim. I found who has my old basket case tri-z that i traded off ( got ripped off on the trade though) then the guy sold it & i found the current owner. Someone had a pic of a 250r 3 wheler & in the background was the plastics & misc parts to my old tri-z. One of these days i need to buy it back which might be soon.

Have you run the vin through police or DMV. you can run a NCIS check free online also
The police can tell you if it's ever been reported stolen? If it's been impounded. In my state of Florida DMV can tell you the last person that registered it and in what county, and quick Facebook or white pages can locate 90 percent of people if you know there name and county.

I had a friend cop run a vin for me before a purchase, he was able to verify the owner and there currant address.

Also try https://www.searchtempest.com , it can search all of craigslist in a single search, set up an alert for the following listings. 350x, honda 350x, wheeler. those three will nab most any honda 350x listing.
It will email you an alert if any listings that fit those keywords.

I hope this helps and good luck
MrC

its Still in my dads name. They never put the ownership in their own name. Nebraska doesn’t require titles on three wheelers. Nor do u have to register it in trailprotrailpro name.

I'll check mine for you. It's doubtful but since I'm a state away I suppose there is a small chance. I don't have any of the extras you listed either.

I agree with MrConcdid. Running the VIN somewhere is probably your best bet. Even though title or registration isn't required that doesn't mean someone didn't buy it and register it somewhere else. Same thing here in KS, it's not required depending on when it was purchased but it's still an option.

Good luck to you.

It’s still registered in my dads name

Jim mac
11-05-2022, 01:24 AM
it can be in his name, but since it probably wasn't kept up to date with yearly registration tags it probably got deleted off the dmv records. When I bought my 66 chevelle that was parked for years, it didn't come with a title. I went for a bonded title, when they did a history on the vin number it came up blank since it's hasn't been registered for so long.
