I know, I know Hazard Fraught tools = cheap china sh!t. I have bought some fairly decent stuff there tho

Not worth it. Good sharpener cost 2 grand from what I have heard. Not much precision with the one I bought, not sure if there's much of a use for it. Just my opinion.

Stay away. Mine worked great, for all 7 chains that it sharpened before damn near catching on fire. The motor got so hot it started to melt. I had mine mounted on a bench in the basement, I had to unplug it and break it off the bench so I could get it outside. I was sure it would catch on fire.

Yes it was HF. Bought couple years back. I use chipper chains and now use the stihl micro. I was going to use it for the junky chains that were regular chains but I couldn't get the presicion I wanted, wasted material of chain fast, so back to the file. Seemed like the sharpening angle was limited and machine was wobbley mounted to a welding table vice.

My father in law bought one, he used it once or twice and then asked if I wanted it. I declined the offer. I never used it but can not see it being very good. You need to remove the chain off the saw also. I do all mine with a hand file.

Avoid the harbor freight special. This model is entry level priced, but at least the motor won't burn up and you can buy different width grinding wheels depending on the size chains you wish to sharpen

Files are great but I use a dremel with diamond bits. Check out the cheap bits at china e-bay deals and you get them for about a buck apiece. Now it takes a bit of learning curve not to grind too much and gotta find that sweet spot angle but it's by far the quickest sharpning hands down.

The problem with grinders it people get too carried away with them and overheat the tooth. It takes lots of discipline not to hold the grinder down and let it eat. I can have my chain sharpened with a file in about 2 minutes and never take it off of the saw. I have sharpened it thousands of times though. I'd actually hate to think about the ammount of time and money spent on files. Lol
