Hey guys I just bought a 84 Tri Zinger and I am in need of some help. The stock stop start run switch is broken it is running without it. How can I wire it so that a honda type kill switch will work for it? And is there a normal thumb throttle that will work for it that doesn't have the switch? I have read there is a twist throttle I can use off a pw50 but I would prefer a thumb throttle. If I can only use a twist throttle that is what I'll do.
Thanks

I don't have my Zinger anymore so this is all theory...
Wiring diagram: http://www.3wheelerworld.com/content.php/244-YT60-Tri-Zinger-wiring-diagram
Looks to me like connecting the black with red stripe (B/R) wire to black (B) grounds the ignition and is the "kill switch". Pretty standard dirt toy method of kill switch.
You could probably grab any aftermarket push button kill switch and connect these to wires to it and have a normal kill switch.
If I was going to bypass the start/run/governor BS (which actually is a great feature for the target rider), I would also connect the B/R coming off the magneto directly to the B/R wire on the CDI. In the end, the B/R wire coming off the magneto would have 3 branches/connections: CDI, bar kill switch, tether kill switch.
Thumb throttle? No clue but I'd try just about any of them - maybe a $10 Chinese cheapy?

You can look for 4 zinger parts or even the QT50 have similar engines. If you get the qt 50 wiring it has a headlight if you want to add one. Some guys take the 2 speed & kick start parts to modify their Tri zingers!:naughty:
If you search here on 3ww, greenboy has made disc brake mods & large foot pegs for the Tri zingers. There's a company that sells 70cc bb kits for them too. I've got 3 of them.

Honda simply grounds the coil.

Thanks for the help everyone I'm going to order a kill switch for a mini bike I think that will fit well with how small it is. My main concern was making sure there isn't a rev limiter like it's in start mode. Currently it is runnin with all the wires hanging out of the switch no circuit is closed. So this shouldn't be a concern right?
