We have a lot of racing going on around Missouri this year. We have a points schedule we are running with half of the races with the MWEDT Series. Hoosier has stepped up to support 3 wheelers with a contingency program. If anyone is around this area and wants to get into racing let me know. We are running an Outlaw class and vintage class.

I think we will have a large turnout in Belleville. Sikeston is shaping up for a great turnout as well. And I'm sure Overbrook will be good like last year.
Steve, I commented on your Facebook post that I'd like to come out to one of these, I looked at the scheduale and think the Bellville race would work out best for me. Is anyone coming with a camper that my wife and I could rent a room in for the night? Is there any video of the track?
The_Steve_Man
02-21-2016, 07:21 PM
I don't know of anyone bringing a camper. You could always rent a room at hotel close by.
There are videos on YouTube. I haven't been but I hear it is wide track with long straights and big covers. Should be an easy track to ride
I hate staying in hotels with atvs, you always hear about them getting stolen. I might try to put a trailer hitch on our jetta and take that, we can sleep in it much easier than my truck. I'm not going to make any promises but we're going to try our best to get out there. How many racers are you expecting?

Hoping to have between 15 and 20 there. I'm really going to start pushing the first of March and hoping to get some new people to race.
There are going to be 2 classes. Outlaw class (open) and vintage.

Are they running trikes two days, both the second and third?
The_Steve_Man

Yes! As of now it is looking like almost 20 trikes! There is a guy flying in from California and another guy coming from Georgia. It is shaping up to be a great race.

I just got home from watching the action at BET and man was it awesome to see so many trikes there! It's got me itching for another liquid R! By the way, what exactly were the trike classes?

Did you come to the pits?
The classes were Pro-Am and Vintage. We had 11 in Pro-Am saturday and 10 Sunday. Total between the 2 classes was 16 saturday and 18 sunday. It was a fast track and some fast racers.

Yeah, we walked though during the intermission but my little guy was getting tired so we didn't stick around to talk unfortunately. I heard a trike rider had a pretty good wreck on Sunday, he okay? I enjoyed watching all the trikes, but got a kick out of the 350X rider hanging right up there with the two strokes! Sure am glad I went, am stoked for Sikeston!

The gut that got hurt is ok. Popped his shoulder out of place and a fracture.
Sikeston is going to just as fun!

Looks like fun. I'm curious however if it's cheaper to buy a 250R and mod it for flat track or if it's cheaper to start with a drift trike and mod it to hang with the R's? Personally I'm not doing either but it seems like a drift trike is already low like these modded trikes.

The pic on the left I am running yahoo turf chief 16x8x8 (mower tire) and on the right I am running 16x8.5x8 Hoosiers in the RD20 compound. Lawn mower tires are a great tire but for the serious racer you need a specialty race tire on the blue groove surfaces like BET. Just my 2 cents

Thats a good question, but for the sake of individuality it'd be pretty awesome to run a drift trike!

Matt, when you say drift trike, what exactly are you referring to. I've seen lots of drift trikes, many of them look home made, lots of them look flimsy, a lot only have small engines, none of them have rear suspension, only very few have front suspension, and almost all have pvc sleeves over the rear tyres. I'd really like to see a picture of what your referring to.
Also I know in some rule books the trike class refers to the rider who straddles the machine, not sit in a seat.
