227795227796I'm doing a 06 450r swinger swap on my 86r
The whole back end is getting freshened up
I needed the durablue link anyway and for a hell of
A price I scored a super clean 86 trx shock and linkage
With adjustable dog bone
I get that I have to throw a few washers on each side of the
Upper shock mount
I run the air box and snorkel so the b itch is the reservoir banjos as you know point the
Wrong way.
So my question is has anyone had and luck with throwing
The shock in a vice and just barely barely loosening the bolt and with it still tight rotating the
Banjo with channel locks to where you want it
Without losing any measurable amount of charge?

Pretty sure you'll end up needing a nitrogen charge if you even so much as break those bolts free sadly.

I turned mine down and didn't have any problems.
What linkage are you going to use with that swing arm? Stock linkage with that durablue link will work fine.

The GT thunder MX link is nice to have as well!!
Now you can get a brand new caliper for 90$, ya can't beat uograding.
On thew 350X, the 06 is 3"s longer. How close is the swingarm to the 06 swinger??

I'm glad you had success turning yours down
I'm going to play with all this ,this weekend
86 and 06r length is basically the same
I'm using 250r linkage with adjustable dog bone as I have read
All I could and that seems to be the easiest
I threw a wrench in the gears with this TRX shock
But oh well
Got a new 450r pivot bolt to add to the freshness
And some new rollers
450 caliper will be down the road ,for that
Unpainted factory cleaness ,the pads look nice and thick
On the 450

I couldn't wait till the weekend to F with it
Got the sleeves cut down to fit
Widened the dog bone ears to fit
Successfully rotated down the shocks banjo without
Losing a drop!
Now I got to figure out where to put the resivor
That makes sense,it's banjo hits the carb.
Any ideas on that ?227892227893
