Thanks guys for the coments.....I am doing it to give everyone ideas on their air-cooled machines. I hope this inspires more people to restore them to whatever flavour they want.
Props are to everyone on this board...I have not asked many questions, but i have found most of the info i needed to know and when i didn't, just ask.
Mart - I am sure these guys will ship it. I used an 85 front fender and 83 rear fender. I bought them from James Lucky. www.jlatvproducts.com
John, Let me know whatever you need. I have been accumulating many progress pics. Before tear down and after. I will keep posting. I find pictures are worth 1000 words. (MINE LOOKS LIKE YOURS hehehe) I am doing the opposite of your rims. Silver hubs, Black rims.

Thanks guys.....
MEATbox[mHz, vartiak15,
I bought the cover & www.hi-flite.com My guy who installed the seat cover said they used top notch material. I did pay alot more than the ebay covers.....well worth it.
Beer_Smurf,
They are Tag handle bars. I got them from Royal dist. in Canada. They are exactly the same as my stock ones except the notches are out by just a bit. I snugged them up really good. They won't go anywhere.
350Xccelerator,
I agree about the 85-86 front fender (gives it the killer look).....thanks to you guys. I would have bought the 83 and even payed more.
mart,
I haven't painted my rims just yet, I will try the gold first....if I don't like it They will be going black with silver hubs. However, I will be buying a set of 10" ITP polished with a pair of Hoosiers or Razr's.
