Yesterday's Elan ride

I borrowed one of my buddy's Elan's and we covered over 40 miles on and around Cold Lake. Had a tea boil and ate candied Lake Trout and moose pepperonis, a lunch fit for kings! Although it was fresh at -15C we hit some sketchy slush on the ice in places. Luckily we didn't get bogged down in it; that would've been bad. Like our utility three wheelers, these things may be a bit slow and rough at times, but they keep going and going.

Seems like it's all or nothing around North America for snow; either you have tons or it's bare. We started late but have our usual amount. We can't complain as in comparison to most years it's been unusually mild for this neck of the woods. I'm not complaining one bit. We seen a cow and calf moose and an otter eating a fish during our ride also. Pretty awesome day!

I got a few miles in this year...I sold my sled at end of the last storm...maybe pick up another one next year if the price is right. lucky to get 5 days a year of riding in here but its a sport I def enjoy.
