1994 ext 580 questions...

Have both a efi model and a carb model... Both are pieces of junk, and a just motor donors for a whole other project... My question is, will the efi model compensate fuel enough to be able to run that motor in the summer, or go with the carb motor and jet accordingly....?

I think they were great sleds for their year..? I would think the EFI would do just fine mixture wise. However, the only problems I saw on Cats early EFI's were dirty wire connections, the computer did not like ANY dirt or grime. That being said, clean them w ether,and grease them good. Good drive clutches on them still demand a nice buck..

Efi would work fine, but depending what your going to do you might want to run the carb motor and free up some weight. I just traded my 94 ext 580 efi.
