I have never shipped or received anything like 3wheelers and parts, and I am trying to find out some info. I'm sure there are several members here with firsthand experience, so what are the best options? I did the online shipping quote with Uship and came up $873, which seems a little high. Any insight on this?
Thanks

Since you give absolutely no information about what you are shipping or having shipped, there's no good answer for you. To ship a shifter 10 miles, that price is crazy. What is being shipped? From where? To where?

My post states 3wheelers and parts, but I guess its a little vague. West coast to east coast. Anyone shipped a complete 3wheeler? Just curious if there are some creative solutions to shipping a bulky item like this.

I was able to ship a 225dx by pallet, liftgate service from phoenix to chicago for under $400. It even hung over the edges when fully assemled, a little bit, but I talked em into it.

Another option is to get with a local business that does a lot of shipping of pallets with UPS, and see if they are willing to work with you.

I have used Uship several times. I have received bids to ship a complete three wheeler from California to Kentucky and the best bid was $500. You may receive a high bid like what you stated, but don't accept it. Let other shippers bid on it as well. They start out high but lower their price as other shippers put bids in.

I have shipped alot of trikes to california florida and new york and the most it ever cost is 385. You must crate them though and have to be delivered to an atv type shop but thats no problem

I shipped a trike once. I used ABF and all went well. My only issue was that they tried to double the rate half way to the COD destination. Fortunately I had a written quote, so they respected it. Don't let anyone take your cargo without one.

ummm...it might help if you tell him who you shipped them with.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I am currently receiving bids on Uship, but entertaining other options as well. Please keep suggestions coming. I really appreciate the support on this site!
I have a friend that runs the local Kawasaki dealership here, so delivery will not be an issue. I just don't want to put the guy out that is nice enough to do the crating/pelleting half way across the country.
