I'm planning on going with my own take on a glasspack. I have a few questions. Im getting a torch set and I am good at steel welding. I need to know what I am going to do for a flange to bolt the pipe to the head. I also want to know what makes a cobra pipe shoot flames when you get off the gas? I want mine to do that same thing. I also need to know where I could get the right sized pipe (Might be a hard question to answer but I thought I ought to ask anyway), as I am thinking of going a bit bigger than stock to help increase flow.

Need more info.

Why don't you use the stock parts to hold the pipe to the head?

There are many reasons flames can come out of a tail pipe but its mainly in the tuning and the cam . The pipe itself does not induce flames but it can be designed to induce popping sounds when you decelerate . This is one of the "features" that was intentionally designed into the old Cherry Bomb type mufflers.

You can also buy flame thrower kits for motorcycles.

You can get the tubing from any metal supply store . Some are online.

Yeah I want to know how to get my homemade exhaust to pop on decel. My buddies 84 200ES does that with a Cobra pipe on it, and it sounds bad ass.

Lean pilot circuits can make a popcorn sound on deceleration, but why anyone would strive for that is beyond me. If you want to shoot flames and scare people you can wind up the engine, hit the kill switch, open the throttle up for a few seconds and then turn the ignition back on. With a little luck you may get to find the weakest spot on your head gasket at the same time.

I had a buddy blow the V&H baffle tube out of his street bike doing that

My 83 185s that has a straight pipe (because I bought it with no muffler) pops on decel, but the plug is a nice brown color. I heard somewhere free flowing exhausts will cause popping on decel. I just want my bike to be a loud but not loud like it is currently, and I want it to have more of a throaty sound, and I don't just want to buy a pipe because I want to make my own so I can have my own distinct (most likely shitty) sound.

Not correct. Open pipes do not cause flames or piping. That is 100% tuning issues. It is NOT good for it to pop. It can blow head gaskets or worse. What an open pipe can and usually can end up doing is cracking exhaust valves by the cold air hitting the hot exhaust valve and it cracks. Something else to consider.
You can get a lot of pipes that will for your 90. Most of the Chinese clone exists o. eBay will fit or be really close either just w tiny bit of tweaking. If you want a larger pipe look for one for a 125cc instead of the 110.

This spring I rebuilt the poorly constructed Llyodz exhaust on a 100 cube victory and ordered all my mandrel bends from http://heartthrobexhaust.com

Your main focus should be proper tuning. Cackling off a trailing throttle means you are running lean but I guess if you like the sound of slowly cooking your motor why not.
