rear shock question for shock gurus

Im planning to do some mx racing with my 85 250r. Would a rebuilt stock shock be as good as a rebuilt Works shock.I have an extra 85-86 stock shock that I could have rebuilt.Or I could get this used Works shock for $100. If I get this shock Id have it rebuilt.Is this shock even worth $100. 230718 230719

works shocks are dogshit...and never last. rebuild OEM and go ride. So many options to do up OEM its not even funny.

onformula1 or srs on ebay can do the job. I rebuild my 83R shock with all new parts and custom powder coating...preforms fine. Even did a 84 kx125 shock.

I bought all the parts and did way more stuff with my 83R shock for less then $100...oil and nitrogen don't cost more then $15 bucks...

Don't know about which is better i would assume the works because it's aftermarket, but I just seen this on eBay yesterday you may be interested.

Theres a place near me .Its about an hour or less drive. And they support the local race tracks aswell. http://www.shockaholic.net/html/services.html Or I could rebuild it myself and have a local shop recharge it for me.
