I am looking for a 2nd gen 250R rear axle assembly (everything but the sprocket). I know most of the other Honda models well, just new to 250R. I am a big eBay-er and have searched/bid on the few that come up here n there. Other than buying some fancy durablue for several hundred, anyone know if there's another solution?

Does anyone if any other year/model axle will fit?

Picture attached is how it sits now, bought it not running (still working on that part too) but rear axle wobbles bad on each side. I already put in new dual bearing carrier.

What about having it straightened?

ETA: The axle wobbles bad or the hubs wobble on the axle?

the way it looks and seems like you ride, there is a reason the stock axles bend. they are junk. get a aftermarket axle and be done with it.

Yes it crossed my mind. Two problems: I don't know of anyone who could. And also the threads are all junk for castle nuts, like beyond anything a tap/die set could fix. It clearly looks like bent axle (both sides) Brakes were seized when I bought it so wasn't until I fixed carrier and spun it by hand

Yes I saw this over a week ago. I didn't know enough about it to know one way or another (still pretty new to 250R). It's a plan B or C, wasn't planning on investing that much on 1 piece

I tend to think the sameway, my problem is what appeared to be a great find @ $400 bucks has now turned into a $600+ parts investment to even get it driveable. Playing this one safe, if its not worth it i'll just sell to break even.

I had read somewhere on here while back, that someone used a '86 200X axle in one. Didn't know how much to trust it, and they're same width and everything eh?
