for some time now i have been doing some basic design on a go kart if you wish to call it that

i would call it a cart with a little quad mixed in
i plan on geting a quad and useing the suspention and engine

low seating, rear engine with quad style swinger, front mounted fuel tank (my question basis), battery, foot brakes (front and rear), foot gas, foot clutch (if its a hand cluched doaner), list goes on

now i think i have most of it figured out but the fuel system
i am looking at building a tank thats mounted in the front with baffles, now i most bikes use gravaty feed fuel systems right? what bikes have a fule pump i could use that would transfer the fuel to the rear? and how are they mounted? (intank wet sump, or dry sump out of tank?)

as of now im on the hunt for a cheap bike to be a doaner for the project im hoping to get a 300cc+ bike

anyways
Joe

I'd use a snowmobile fuel pump. Just a little single feed line pump, you will have to hook a vaccum line up to the motor to drive it though. I believe there are sled pumps that do operate without vaccum lines to the engine but I cant remember. The fuel pump off a Tri-z may work too I've never seen one though.

hey, think SNOWMOBILE!!! seriously, it's not a problem, there are all kinds of fuel pumps availible.

oops, hey, check out the minibuggy sites. they use motor cycle engines, most of the newer ones use electric pumps.
