125r in a 85 or 86 200x chassis

Well im in a stuck deal and dotn knwo waht to go with a 85 or 86 chassis to build a 125r. I got a whole drit bike lined up for me and i jsut need to decied which chassis to go with. Can you guys help me and help me decide which one wold be easier. To build

What is your goal with this bike??? I would go with the 83-85 bikes...there are more of them, so parts are cheaper, and not only that...noone ever raced the 86/87 200x much, so if you are going for a oldschool racer or something it wouldn't be correct unless you used the older style.

I don't know why one would be easier to build than the other. I would imagine parts for an 85 would never be tough to find.

It might be different story for an 86.

I like the looks of the 86. That's what I would try to use.

The 86's had better suspension and hte gas tanks were bigger than the 83-85's. The parts are out there for the 86-87's, you just have to look a little harder.

I would go with the '85 frame. (83-85 is the same) Parts are easier to find and alot cheaper as waterpumper stated. I was going to build me a 125r,but got hooked on the tri-z instead.

I'd love to see a 125cc motor in a nice 3 wheel chassis.

Lots of parts around for the 85R or the 83 to 85 200X.

thats teh deal i lvoe my 86 and can get a rlling chassis goin but i think i would want to build anotehr 86 200x and not one witht ea 125 motr in the 86 jsut cause they are so sweeter

my dad and uncle put cr125's in there 83 200x's and i was watching a video of them racing back in the day and they fly they entered them in some of the 250cc classes and didnt go to bad.in the video they leave a 200x for dead i would love to build 1 of them
