Bought a 85 250r with this caliper on it. Bought it with the swing arm so I have no idea how they mounted it. It was attached with the brake line still on. So I would say they did have it working, but Im at a loss...help please. 231687

that's a 200x caliper. Time to find a OEM 250r rear caliper.

You sure Brendon? I don't think it is. 200X calipers aren't silver and they don't say nissin where that one does. It does look to be a similar caliper though, that style is used on many different machines. Does it have a parking brake or parking brake eliminator on it? If not, it is from one of many dirt bikes that use that style. Personally can't be 100% sure what it is without seeing more angles.

Regardless, it's definitely not an 85 250r caliper.

Hmmm, could be wrong but that mount to me is a dead giveaway. I guess I would have to see different angles as well.

Definitely a 200x mount. I'm thinking the caliper had been swapped for a dirt bike unit at some point. From this angle I see no cable stay for the park brake.

Can't see how it would have been attached to an 85 250r swingarm, the mounts are not similar. Pretty sure the swingarm would have had to be modified to accept that setup. There's gotta be a reason it was hanging. Perhaps just threw one on to make it seem more complete?

More pics!

It does have a provision for a parking brake stay. It was hanging supposedly because he took the swing arm off for new swing arm and carrier bearings
