Hey
I have a lead on a 1987 Yamaha warrior in mint condition but doenst run right after 45 minutes, i also have a lead on a 1987 Kawi Mojave 250, liquid 2 stroke, been rebuilt and re painted, both around same price, are these decent machines? i read a warrior is a good bike, but havent heard much about a mojave, if i get the mojave, my bro is gettin the warrior, and i am sellin the polaris and he will sell his kawi bayou 300, are these good bikes?

yeah, the mojave isnt a two stroke.....its a 4 stroke. And if it really is a two stroke, then its a tecate...those kick ass...better than a warrior if you ask me.....Get the Tecate!!! But if it is a 4 stroke and thus really is a mojave, then get the warrior

Mojave=Slow & Bad & Not Rare
Tecate=Fast & Rare & Good

actualy, its a 2 stroke mojave, a KSF 250, the older ones were a 2stroke, i believe from research, and its between me and my bro, he is gettin the warrior and i am gettin the mojave, the newer ones are 4 stroke, and yes, i know all about tecates, my friend has one, i have tried millions and millions of times to buy it, no go

Sorry to burst your bubble, but there was no 2 stroke mojave.... the 250 verison came out in 1987 with a DOHC 4 valve 4 stroke. There was also a Mojave 110 (years?) but it was also a 4 stroke, and it wasnt a full size quad...So, there is no 2 stroke mojave..

sorry, it is either a Tecate, or isnt a 2 stroke, or isnt a Kawasaki....

Mojave isnt a great quad if trailprotrailpro comparing it to a warrior .

Mojaves have crappy suspension and the motor is way underpowered.

Deff go with the warrior.

the warrior was for my bro, and the mojave was for me, my bro bought the warrior today, and i went looked at the mojave, the guy said it was a 2 stroke, but it had a DOHC 4 valve stamped right on it, but, i couldnt pass it up, under 2 grand with fresh motor rebuild, new read plastics, brand new tires/rims/paint all around, brakes, and i drove it around a tiny bit, it felt pretty good, but, i am only 15, and the stuff i ride isnt that bad, so i bought it anyways, i was doin donuts for about 5 min today when i got it home, but tommorow, i am takin it out on the road and open it up a bit, dont worry, my neighbours are used to me, plus most of them do the same thing so they dont care lol well, i am the proud owner of a Mojave and my bro is the proud owner of a Warrior, that he is goin to be scared shatless of lol lol

haha, well the thing is, i also have a 250 polaris quad, but since i got this mojave cheap and all, i am sellin the polaris to my neighbour who wants it for 2500 bucks, then i get the 1600 back from the mojave, plus 900 bucks of extra spending, then i am sellin my 200X for about 850-900 bucks, so i will have lots of spare money around! no i aint loanin anyone money P

as for performance parts, you should be able to get a pipe and other itmes for it. its not listed in the mags because its not that popular of an atv.

you will have to look online or at your local parts place for hop-up parts.

the mojave is a great little quad, my buddy has one and it was a great trail quad, the suspension did suck but learn on it and sell up grade in a year or 2

On the Honda's...its on the front of the frame. Look there or look just below the engine on the frame. I've seen them there on suzuki's and kawi's

I havent clocked the warrior yet, i have to set the valves and clean the carb, but thats a HELL OF A GOOD DEAL!!! i had to give the mojave back because i didnt want it to end up on the hot list then have the police come scoop it up and i am out 1600 bucks and a quad, so he said i can take it back, he will get an ownership and if i still want it, i can still buy it same price, no strings

I did not buy the mojave back, my brother bought a 300EX, a 2001 and i bought his warrior for 1600, i actually just came back from riding it, after setting the valves, cleaning the carb, new pipe (Cobra Quiet) i took it out tonight, it KILLS my bros 300EX, warrior 4th gear (outta 6) 300EX in 5th pinned and the warrior is still 6 bikes ahead

Its the greatest bike i have owned so far, still very loud with the quiet pipe on though.... haha

I have a lead on a Mojave for trade with my SX. It needs a cam. Should I do the trade?? I heard Mojave's are not very performant...am I wrong?? Is it more performant than my SX?

Thanks
