we got all three dogs and two cats from shelters, both my wife and I were on the board of directors of an area shelter for a year and now we foster cats or kittens off and on...

We still do some volunteer work for a place called "Help Willies Friends" from time to time, picking up donated food and supplies and delivering them to local shelters. its all good work although we haven't done much this summer as things have been crazy for me this year so far.. 2017 cannot get here fast enough for me... cant wait to kiss 2016 good bye!

I've let a few stray bitches in over the years. Not so bad if they're house trained.

Almost forgot, you'd better make sure they have all their shots!!!

We had a rescue dog for about 6 months, (border collie) very sweet girl, but she was a reactive biter... Bit me real good in the wrist one day, (I could live with that) but when she nipped my kiddo, she had to find a different home... (Without kids)
