Hey all, I've been snooping around the pages for few months learning and getting ideas and realized I never introduced myself. Names Luke and reside in Peoria, Az.
Grew up riding 3 wheelers used a fast food job to fix up my dads old 185s he bought in 81' and then picked up a 85' 200x along the way. I was always the guy with the 3 wheeler that kept up with the newer quads of the early 2000s haha. Once I got older and bought a house, got married, had a kid, the 200x was sold and 185s had been sitting on the side of my moms house for a while. Now with 2 sons ages 6, and 3 was getting the bug to work on something, alas the 185s worked its way back to my house this last January. After sitting for about 15 years it was a fun project, rebuilt engine, polished up plastics, replacing parts that were unusable or just plain missing. Figured my sons would be riding it in a few years and feeling a bit large on the lil guy I kept an eye on craigslist and offerup. Ended up picking up a Honda 250sx in pretty good shape for 650 bucks. Got the bug to make it all purdy again, so that been my current project.
I miss the old 200x I had, was an awesome machine but im getting familiar with the 250sx now and enjoy the little deluxe options, electric start, reverse, and tow hitch. Plan on taking the family out riding often this fall as the Az summers are brutal. Look forward to talkin to some of you all, learning, and maybe even chipping in a little advice here and there.
Great site and great forum! Thanks for your time.
