I thought I'd alert people to this video that has just been posted. The people at ATV on Demand did a great job. The first part of the video goes into the early history of 3 wheelers and the 80's racing scene, and the second part focuses on the 1st and 2nd generation 200x. It inspires lots of nostalgic feelings for those of us who grew up in the 80's riding 3 wheelers. In the future I hope they do a test on a race built 200x like they did with the 350x and 250R. Enjoy.

Yes but they didn't do anything to it. It's just a video saying how its a great bike which it has great potential when modified, when left stock many flaws as we all know.

Yeah, I thought they were going to hop up a 200x and test it, like they did with the 250R and 350X. Hopefully that video is in the works. I still enjoyed the video, especially the segment on the 80's racing scene.

It's good to see the trikes getting some exposure as far as I'm concerned! The ATC scene in the states is great, wish we had something similar over here but it will just never happen! Just a small bunch of us who love the things really!

It's coming, I just gave them the motor at Trike Fest and low pro file rear fenders so they are just starting to put it together for this fall video. I say next spring, but we will see . lol

The one I did for them is just a mild pump gas $450 kit, nothing great, just what most people by. I was going to do them a 250cc kit to blow them away, but that's not going to sell as much as the cheaper kit.

Hi everyone, Christph thanks for posting the link to the 200X Classics Test here on 3WW. Much love to everyone for watching, liking and taking the time to comment on YouTube. ATV on Demand is a career and doing the vintage tests is a passion, not a paycheck for us at this point. With almost a month into doing that video it was a little challenging at times but we receive more sincere appreciation from the vintage/three-wheeler community than any other group. It honestly means a lot, so thank you!

Also, Mickey Dunlap, John Pellan from ATVScene.com, and Isaiah Marker all added a tremendous amount of value to the video. It was great to see these guys passion for the machine and the sport. You can see that Mickey still gets a kick out of remembering the first time he beat team Honda as a privateer. We talk about three-wheelers some times at media events and John Pellan gets all excited talking about his three-wheeler racing days. Its cool.

Next, we will be doing a full build on the 200X, setting it up for the track, similar to the way we did the ATC250R and ATC350X. It will be a frame up race build and basically a rolling catalog for those looking to upgrade their 200X. As Mickey Dunlap mentioned, Four Stroke Tech set up a pretty tricked out engine for the project. Race Tech, HRE, and HEL USA are all coming back for this build and are developing new products for the 200X based on the success of the other Rust to Glory projects. When we support the companies that support our sport good things happen.

Well, that's not completely true. Its a pump gas motor with porting, valve work, bigger valves, different carb. Basically everything but a stroker crank. Its a $450 kit on steroids! But its based on a $450 kit, that's what's cool. You can build from there. Right?

Sounds a lot like the motor I built few years ago. HRE is the only way to go anything 200x custom...I've built many different versions over the last 10 years. He has some jigs for things i designed and had made for them.

How and why..the invite is to my play ground. It's not me being a dick or cocky it's me putting a nicely built correctly modified X up against another one done the same.

If he wants to take me up on my invite contact me...There is no dirt where I go so it may be fun to see how two different bikes both using HRE designs on things work.

I have 26 year of riding under my 140lb butt. Do i need to be a pro to invite someone to come ride....The stuff I ride in is nasty...make GNCC look like a joke. Your machine must work because if not your getting left 20 miles away. I have only shown 4 people in 26 years where I ride. Plus he can ride right across the street park it out front of the pizza shop and enjoy a great lunch....that's not happening at a MX track or private backyard.

I have no problem riding at new places, but if you're really confident in your machine and your ability, why not pick a neutral place?

I think some of you are missing the point. He didnt challenge anyone to a race, he clearly said "invite to come to my playground and test". You guys are all jacked up for a competition, and he's simply extending his hospitality. I've read and seen enough of olskools material to be able to determine that he is in fact a skilled rider with unique areas to ride in. If he invited me, I'd go.

Tiny little group here.

And getting smaller by the minute.

No drama dilly lamaBeen getting smaller for a long time and it's not due to opposing opinions. It's due to the intolerance of opposing opinions and the group bullying that occurs when someone voices a differing opinion. Which is exactly what's happening here.

Your propensity to resort to name calling speaks volumes.

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I took it as a comparison, not a race to see who is faster.

Just went to youtube to play a couple music videos, and lo and behold the 200x video was first in my recommended videos list. Figured I'd go ahead and embed the video so members can just view it in the thread.

Rob can test his bike in my play ground and put to the test of GNCC to sand dunes in the matter of 1/8 mile or less. I invited him to do the test in PA's finest riding...coal hills and grab lunch across the street while riding there. It is not race. I am not calling anyone out. HRE tells me he asks him to do work all the time and guess what...HRE asks me what did we do to yours, how did we do this on that one. Got ideas on this...why? because I have been having him build wild versions of 200x's for nearly 10 years. SOOOOO since he is using HRE products like I do...the invite is to test a nice done up 200x while there is a nice done up 200x there with a KX100 motor built by Eric Gorr...Rob will know who Eric Gorr is...95% of the people on this form will not.

That's the invite. He is wants to take me up on this it is a free day he can have...i can show him upwards of 50 miles of trail bashing fun and he prob will see some kids on clamped out 3wheelers also. His choice, I voiced my offer. Anyone else can stop taking it as a race...racing is pointless in my eyes. I like to ride and have fun, mix it up. But with amount of whoops and tight turns and technical trails I have been running 26 years I think he would go...hey this stuff is cool.

I mean anyone who builds up a nice 200x knows they are gonna have $3,000 + into it...Why not see how a readers ride does up against a promoters.......After all i have only seen his frame in person for months over are HRE. Some things looked like mine while other didn't. Heck I built my Zebra 200x what 3-4 years ago?

Case closed.

Ya, a quick heads up would have been nice. My wife asked what I paid for the 200x, I told her what I bought the original mess for. I thought I got away with it, then she asked me how much I had spent on it (Since it is still being built). She had no idea what I spent on the Goki starter, the bore or the high comp piston all for her 185s that was bought as a $75 parts bike. I just told her hers ended up costing more than mine did, she dose not need to know mine has cost more than if I had bought it new off the sales floor since buying it.

EDIT: On a topic related to the thread, I did not know ATV on Demand was a person or that they were on this site. Whoever you are you do great work. If you are ever in Omaha shoot me a message, I will buy you a beer and show you the progress in the worlds slowest 200x reassembly.
