Probably a dumb question but is it just the oil for both or is there tranny fluid to?

4 stroke = motor oil only (125m is in this category)
2 stroke = transmission oil + premix oil

Yes yaegerb is correct. Your engine oil is also your transmission fluid. That's why you can't use car motor oil in bike engines, because of the wet clutch. Car oil doesn't have the correct additives for that.

Almost. Actually, the problem is that car oil does contain additives, called friction modifiers, that will ruin your wet clutch. Car oil hasn't always had these additives, which is why some old timers will argue till their clutch slips that they've been using blah blah whatever oil for thirty years without any trouble.

I will still continue to use Quaker State 10w-30 in my 85 Honda Big Red that I have used since I bought it new. I change the oil once a year if it needs it or not.
