Okay guys so today was a good riding day but things got salty very quick lol. was going through some uncharted territory muckhole and almost sunk the bike so i tryed to go AROUND the whole in the side bush, that turned into a very bad decision after I felt something bit me on my arm, i look at my arm....nothing there, then OUCH another "bite" on my other arm, this was not any bite i trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotr ailpro screamed in pain, then i notice about 50 WASPS flying around my head and realized i trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro UP badly, so in panic mode i slammed in reverse and attempted a quick turn around and i fell right into the middle of the swamp hole and got stuck with wasps stinging me.
I shut the bike off and booked it a couple hundred feet though the woods and sat down in agony for a few minutes, i couldnt leave the bike there i was far from home so i slowly walked my way back towards the bike hoping to not get on the wasps radar and slowly "crawled" on the bike as the hord of wasps were all around, i started the bike up and trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotr ailpro pinned it and started shaking it to get her moving around it finally started moving slowly and i was getting stung all over even more since i was shooting pounds of muck at the wasps nest.
got out of there REAL quick it was a technical trail that i shouldnt be going more than jogging speed through but i was trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotr ailpro out of there in 3rd/ 4rth gear almost crashing.
I hope none of you ever get stuck OVER a wasp nests far away from home lol.

Even worse, you could be like me and very sensitive to bee stings, so much so that a couple of well placed stings to my throat could close off my airway... In other words, I'd be in buku trouble if I didn't have my epipen on hand for such an incident!!

All kidding aside, sounds like a hell of a bad day for sure! I hate bees, wasps, hornets (especially) yellow jackets, ground bees... they're all buttholes!

I am fortunate to not have allergic reactions to stings, Ive had encounters with Bees but i find wasps hurt MUCH more, felt like someone shooting me with a nail gun

Yep. Mud and bees, my two least favorite things. I would have been one unhappy camper in that situation. Probably would pay them a return visit with a can of brake cleaner and a lighter at a later date just out of spite haha.

I got stung by a Yellow Jacket on my cheek and made my cheek swell up so bad I couldn't see out of my left eye and had to sleep on my right side. It got so bad I had to go to the hospital 4 days after getting stung. When I got called to get looked at the nurse saw my face and and was is such shock of how swelled up it was he hit the door frame with his clip board while he was starring at me and walking. Come to find out my father (whom I don't see or talk to) is illergic to bee stings. It's wierd tho. I can get stung on my finger or arm and it's just like a mosquito bite. But somethin' about my face them bees like!

If it was me I'd have left the trike running an run away

When I was a youngster I got stung by a velvet ant, which is also known as a cow killer wasp. That trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro hurt like trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro. We got wasps and yellow jacket all over around here, but they don't hurt like that.
A few weeks ago I was nailing together a project and I disturbed a paper wasp. Well sumbich flew inside my hand that was holding the hammer. I liked to crack my knee with the hammer when I dropped it.

In late summer waspers are more likely to sting you. They are having sex or something like that. Not sure why but i remember the August part. Lacquer thinner:twisted: at night.

Some years back, as we were packing up to leave the dunes, I was sipping on one of those raspberry teas in a can. It was pretty good stuff, the kind with chunks of fruit in it... So I thought.

Took a swig, got me a raspberry. MMM... OOOOUUCCH!!! BEEE!!

Little SOB stung me in the bottom part of my lower lip, just in front of my gums. Talk about a fat lip! I worked at a call center at the time.

haha rubbersalt i ate a yellow jacket once picking dewberries picking and eating them so fast i never bothered to glance at them. Got me on the inside of the cheek right in the crease of my lips. i couldn't talk right for 2 days!

Another incident were were riding dirt roads picking up bonfire wood, when i spotted a nice pine tree that was cut by the power line people into perfect sections.
Flipped one over to find a yellow jacket nest. I saw and heard nothing but black blurs and buzzing as i ran and windmilled my arms down the road.

Girlfriend found it hilarious because she never saw the bees, just me dropping the firewood and running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Got stung 8 times that time.

And not me but a friend, in a drunken stupor knocked over a honeybee hive and was stung some 40 times. from the top of his head to his swim trunks was spotted red.

He never knew he got stung until the next morning when he called and asked us what happened to him. I'm very thankful he wasn't allergic.

Could've been a very bad day for all of us. Bees suck.

haha! the "windmilling arms" sounds a bit like my encounter yesterday, except i was more of a throw my arms all over my head batshit crazy, and in the process trip over a rotten tree log and stumble back up still flailing arms hahaha

I took a big, old, heavy window air conditioner out of a window for my mother once. She hadn't been using it, and when she tried, it wouldn't move air, just hummed. I got halfway through the house, heading outside, when I felt a tickle on my arm. I looked down and saw that I was covered in yellow jackets! They had built a nest inside, and were quite displeased with me moving their home. I wanted to drop the thing and run, but I had to get it out of the house, so I ran with it bouncing off my thighs, getting stung all the way to the front door. I chucked that AC as hard as I could, and a cloud of bees came out when it hit the ground. Needless to say, I'm not a big fan of any kind of stinging insects either.

was working on the line from my well to my house a few weeks back and the whole time there is this football sized yellow jacket nest hanging from a tree right over my head. well we came to an agreement, I wouldn't mess with them and they wouldn't sting me. So i was working on this for a bout a week I had a neighbor come over with his back hoe to dig up the trench and the old copper well line, I then had to put in a new plastic line, i had piles of dirt and rocks and was going back and fourth under that nest and not once did I get stung... then on the last day, I had finally got done filling in the trench and was cleaning up and went over to pick up that one last shovel and WHAM! I got stung right in the forehead! I was like... trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro!!! the whole nest is gonna come after me now, that little trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotr ailpro had probably marked me with pheromones and they will all be after me... so I ran in the house. after sitting for a few minutes with an ice cube on the sting, I went back out and looked... no bees.. nothing going on, i grabbed my shovel and got the heck out of the yard! lol the nest is still there, activity has slowed to a crawl.. I'm waiting for the bees to vacate or die so I can hang the nest in my garage! FYI I have never seen Yellow Jackets make a nest like this... we usually get them nesting under ground!
