Hello, all.

I often wonder when I am looking at Honda trikes for sale (on line or in person) - I notice the left side rear fender most of the time has "tire burn" on the lower outside corner. What is the reason for this?? :wondering Hardly ever the right side.

Your opinions - thanks in advance.

A variety of reasons I would think. Tires too big, fender supports bent/missing, sagging fenders, leaning into corners when turning,. Or maybe just the earth is tilted too far to the right..

Might be something to do with the exhaust system, Do brackets which account for exhaust clearance effect the movement of the plastic different from one side to the other, or the actual heat from the exhaust making the plastic softer on one side.

Most models the exhaust is on the right side. Except the air cooled R's and the hardtails that run through the frame.

But most likely over inflated/tires too big for the machine or fender supports sagging or missing. Like on a 200x if you run maier fenders I don't think you can use the fender supports.

It's hard to say without telling us which model, no pictures, anything to work with. "Honda" doesn't exactly specify. They have pioneered the ATV market many many decades ago with thousands of different machines and models.

When backing up which way is most comfortable to turn to. Left side for me and foot moves over and pushes fender. Only a thought

Passengers usually use the left side and the left leg puts pressure and weight on that fender when mounting or dismounting.

Sorry, forgot to mention which models - the ones that come to mind are the 200s, 200m, 200e, 200es. Left side fenders - tire burn - 80% of the time.
