I have avoided making my ongoing saga/nightmare with Bill Casey AKA "TPC Trikes" public, however after receiving an invoice for another $2000 from this scam artist, I have no choice.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH BILL CASEY/TPC TRIKES. This has singlehandedly been one of the worst experiences in my LIFE. This man is a thief, con-man, and a liar.

I contracted Bill/TPC to build a TPC frame for me that would house a TRX 250R engine. This was to get a full feature in Dirt Wheels magazine. Well long story short, the frame was many months behind schedule, and finally I was told that it was done (a little over a year later). I sent a check to pay for “Materials” as Bill put it, the check was cashed immediately, 1 month later NO FRAME. Bill would not answer his phone or respond to any messaging. Two months later NO FRAME, Bill is still missing in action. Finally after posting on FB Bill magically appeared with every excuse under the sun as to why he had immediately cashed my check and not sent the frame.

So, three months after my check was cashed, and I was told the frame was done, I received my frame. Long story short, NOTHING was right on the frame. Nothing fit, and NOTHING worked. I took the frame to a well respected and notable builder of custom trikes and he said that at least 60 hours of fab work would be necessary to make the frame work.

I let Bill know of the issues with the frame and the frame was sent back to Bill (at my expense) for him to try to fix. At this point and throughout the entire process, Bill managed to turn EVERYTHING around and blame it all on me, which I am told is what he does. Finally after waiting another 2 months for the frame to be fixed I requested a refund. At this point in time my wife and I had a baby that was needing open heart surgery so the funding for this project had dried up. Bill agreed to a refund and claimed that “the check is in the mail”. One month later, NO refund check and Bill has once again seemed to have gone missing. SO once again I posted on facebook and Bill magically appeared! Still claiming that the check was in the mail, and would be there any day. Finally, 1 month later a check did arrive, that Bill had cancelled. So I now have no frame and no refund!

And to put the icing on the cake, I received ANOTHER invoice from TPC Trikes las Friday for $1925. For a frame that I do not have. Again, AVOID THIS MAN AND COMPANY LIKE THE PLAUGE. This guy has scammed more people than anyone even knows because he threatens to sue anyone that tries to expose his lies and bullshit.

Wow. I have heard others complain of similar things. I remember seeing him come on the boards trying to promote his business, (be a know-it-all) and argue and try to bully people around... That was until he was banned from most of the 250R related boards. I'm sure a search would turn up plenty of negative posts if you search TPCTrikes, I believe was his username.

I'm very sorry to hear you have joined the ranks of Bill's victims. A couple of years ago, I witnessed first hand how he lies to his customers and steals their money...

This sorry excuse for a human being is a boil on the community that needs very badly to be lanced! I would NEVER do business with him after seeing first hand what he did, nor would I ever recommend him to anyone else, be they friend or foe! He does not deserve ANYONE'S business...

Personally I believe he is a sociopath... look up the definition and tell me it doesn't sound alot like him...

Not surprised by this one. Wanted a TPC at one point until I read about all the shenanigans and tom foolery. Sorry to hear about the extent to which this dealing went. I wish the best for you.

It's a shame too, that business could of blossomed if it were in different hands. He had the customers, he just trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro it up. Could of helped along the resurgence of trikes.

If anyone Is looking for modern conversions and custom builds look up tionesta trikes. Great people who are members here. And the trikes speak for themselves on the track.

He was "mr atc" on this board at one time and last time I looked still was on 3w.org. He was on this under "blacksheep" and still is(last I know) on exriders(atvriders). My friend some years ago was gonna get a trike built by him, shipped back here, I re-assemble it and put on the stuff that he didn't do or supply(wheels, swingarm, carrier, axle, brakes, etc). From what he was told, he will build the frame, tripples, swingarm, motor(if you need one) and front hub. He gives you a list of things from trx450r and crf450r that gets used and he can get them for you and ship them with the build(all parts that you WANT him to get for you) or you buy a roller crf450r and trx450r, take off the parts you need from them and part them out. The latter is the far cheaper way to build his trike. Walsh racing does the same with their hybrid/custom framed quads too. Only difference is walsh uses moslty ltr450, veres trx/crf450r parts. At this point you decide if you want to use aftermarket parts or use the stock parts.

250rjunky....if you have all this stuff document, emails/texts/phone messages, keep all invoices/corespondes and photo evidence, you are in the upper hand if taking him to court over it. Very likely, once he receives court papers, not sure how to do a small claims case inter-state, but I'm sure it can be done. It would be better worth his money/time to settle it verses fight it.

I believe he is going by JTS Customs now. And that is who ended up doing the build I was involved with after we "repossessed" the quad from Bill.

Well, that and Walsh actually delivers you a quality product on time, doesn't fall of the face of the earth or double invoice you.

Sorry to hear about this horror story. Are there any legal actions you can take to get a refund? I'd be hopping a plane to Bill and seeing what's up. Sorry to hear about your little girl.

The man is capable, but he is also a "know it all" narcissist.

I can only summize that he may have a drug problem, because drug problems force junkies to steal from their very own family!

Where else is all the money going??

He doesn't seem to be afraid to continue ripping people off. This has been going on for a long time now and people need to speak up!

I'd be terrified if I was ripping off people again and again; You never know who your dealing with.

Allot of people don't want to deal with the law or court; They want their money and their sh!t now!!

At some point something will give...

There are other (honest) people who can help you build a hybrid. People that do good work, keep their word, and treat their customers right.

I would be looking to talk to Kasey, Jason Hall, Louis Mielke, or the Kiesters if you want to do a hybrid. All are members here, some more active than others, but they are reachable. Some are into building the whole thing for you, others make the parts you need and you do most of the assembly yourself. Either way, ANY and ALL are a much better option than that other crook.

From ATCTIM - thanks for the compliments guys. For future clarification: Tionesta Trikes is my garage in Tionesta, PA where my cousin and I used to put some pretty neat custom trikes together. I am a collector of sorts when it comes to trikes, so Tionesta Trikes is still alive and well, just not as a fabricating shop/ Cousin Jake has since gotten his own place and his own garage, thus JTS Customs. Jake has built a few trikes from the JTS Headquarters already. Tionesta Trikes started out as an ATC Shop (not actually a business - just me and a passion for all things trike) and is now basically out of the conversion building "business". Jake has built a pretty darn good reputation in the "quad to trike" conversions, thus "JTS Customs". I still like to help him when I can, but basically Jake does all the fab work, as he is much much more skilled than I am. Not to throw a wrench into the mix, but the 3rd Keister is my brother, Peepers - he goes as "Keister" here on 3WW. Jake is not much on this site, never was, but is and has been a member for many years. He can be easily found on Facebook though.

one guy who will always build what you want and never take you across...www.hreatv.com I do think when it comes down to it you should build your own stuff. Its not too hard and $2000 would of gotten you a good big of tools to do the job.

That's my biggest issue, and maybe some others. Where you don't have access to the facility and tools rather than the know how. I work outside on my trikes so I don't bother to invest in the machines necessary to pull off something like that. Just hand tools. I also work outside for a living building roller coasters all around the world so it's mainly carpentry and constructions tools. Not so much fabrication stuff.

Perhaps you should give him the benefit of the doubt as Bill may simply be waiting for onformula1 to return your shock he sent him so he can ship everything to you at one time.

yeah right...and my balls are made of solid gold!
