Found a YTM 200 parts bike on CL with aftermarket rear suspension just listed last night. Bought it first thing this morning, thing was only 15 min from my house. The trike itself has been picked apart but this rear suspension setup is why I went and scooped it up. The suspension kit appears to be all there and in REALLY nice condition. I am curious if anyone knows what kind of kit this is? I found some info on YTM 200 kits but doesn't seem to be many out there, even less than the YT 175 kits from what I can tell.

I've heard of 175 kits, but not for a 200. Looks well made, great score.

Very nice find! I would love to get ahold of a suspension kit for a Yamaha some time.

I know pro-tec made 125/175 kits but heard they did not make kits for the 200. High performance atv made kits for the 200, but the ones I saw had slightly different looking swingarms although the same shock as this. PK racing made kits according to some old post searching I did. I didn't look it over real good yet so maybe I'll find some engraving or a sticker on it that will shed some light. I'll check it out when I get over to my shop tomorrow. Still not sure what the heck I'm going to do with it but I felt compelled to buy it.

I read the same thing in another thread from years ago when I was google searching and the shock in those pics is identical to this one and members commented it looked like a works shock, but that kit had a different looking swingarm.

Fabio is 100% correct that is a works shock .Its on upside down.

Here's is a kit another board member had, same shock, but right side up, diff swingarm. I'm not totally in the loop with this aftermarket suspension stuff, but I'll assume the works shock makes this setup even cooler.

Found a complete YTM 200 3 hours away with aftermarket rear suspension, ironically while looking for a parts bike to help with putting the one I just bought back together. If this trike was closer I'd buy it tomorrow, not that 3 hours is far but I'm not much for 6 hour round trips unless it's an absolute must have. Maybe someone here can scoop it up.
