Just wondering, can you put a 350x headlight onto a 84 250r? Will it fit ok and would I need to change any wiring or will it just plug straight into the 84 wiring harness?
What do you guys think? Is the 250r 85 86 headlight better or the 350x?
Thanks

I've never done it so this might have 0 value:
They strap on so should fit no problem.
You might need to build some Y connectors to connect the 250R wiring for single Hi/Lo/Ground to the dual connectors on the 350X lights.
You might need a stator upgrade to run both bulbs at the same time - I don't know what the stock airfooler headlight bulb wattage or stator output is but the 350X stock are 35W each.
I think the 350X light is better than the 86R light but both are barely adequate in the dunes at night.
On the plus side, I believe the 86R light can take real H4 bulb so you can put like a 90/130 bulb in it and the stock 86R stator will drive it.
I've had problems finding hi-watt bulbs for the 350X lights.
I'd just run a couple of LEDs instead of spending the $$ for 350X lights.

Ok thanks for your help! I'll see what I can do.
