I think my float is sticking. Either she is dry and no gas at all in the bowl, or when she does flow it keeps flowing and flowing and overflowing out of the carb. Are the carb rebuild kits from Beatrice any good, or is it worth it just to get a new carb and keep my old as a spare?? 20 for the rebuild kit and 80 for the whole carb. What are some opinions.
TIA

Not sure if the rebuilt kit comes with the float. I thought, usually, jets and gaskets. If so, buy new.
Thats my $.02

Okay, couple of questions, the other carb question in another thread is making me ask. I have decided to go ahead and purchase a rebuilt carb and start fresh.
According to the other thread, someone stated that the trike will not run properly without the air cleaner installed, is this correct? No, I do not plan on driving it without the air box, but surely you can bolt on the carb and start and tune without the air box attached, can you not??
Also, is there any carb that would off the shelf bolt on and be a better addition since I am buying rebuilt anyway??
Thanks again, this is starting to get fun!!!!!

for an upgrade you want a 200x carb.
the air filter can effect the fine tuning of the carb so you really should fine tune it with the filter in place but yeah, it should run fine without it.
check your needle valve and seat. take the bottom off the float bowlsee if you can blow through the gas line with the float at top and at bottom. You should not be able to when the float is in one of those positions. That will tell you if you need a new needle and seat. If gas is pouring out your overflow, try adjusting your engine timing. I'm not an expert, but I learned these things from experience. 200 carbs are the same

no 200 carbs are not the same.but buy a new one
What I was trying to say was that 200 carbs are the same as 185 carbs Oh yes they are. But it cut me off.
