A lot of good info here, Adam. http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthread.php/135875-1984-200es-with-a-200m-front?highlight=200m+forks

You could get a stem adapter from ol deuce and put 200x or 250r forks on it. I used his adapter for my 185s build and couldn't be happier. He's a great guy to do business with and he is very helpfull.
Here's a link that might help. http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthread.php/180459-Doing-the-stem-adapter-for-the-70-to-the-200

So the 200M/E/ES forks and triple tree should bolt right up? What is so bad about the E/ES forks compared to the M ones?
Will my rim and hub work off of my solid forks?

E/ES forks are basically a glorified pogo stick and are prone to seizure, whereas the M forks contain springs AND oil to offer better shock absorption. Also, the M fork lower legs are aluminum as opposed the steel lower legs of the E/ES . You may be able to reuse your front rim depending on the diameter, but if memory serves, you will need to use a 200M hub, brake drum, brake plate, and axle with the M forks. A front fender for the M forks is nearly impossible to find, but a 250es fender will work with some modding to the fender mounting tabs on the M forks.

Got any guidance on the fork tab mods trip?
