I have a yamaha 1982 yt125 tri moto i have cleaned the carb adjusted the float in the bowl to the manual height i dont know how much compression i have but when i pull it over it is hard so im assuming its around 90-100 psi the float bowl fills up with fuel but no matter how much i pull it the fuel wont get into the cylinder i check the spark plug after i pull it and its dry. I know the motor can run becasue if i put fuel right down the spark plug hole and then put the spark plug back in it will run and then die (after it runs out of fuel that i put in) there is a black line comeing from the bottem of the cylinder/ top of the crank case i dont know what that does could that have sometime to do with it? Im just stumped with it right now so any help would be amazing!

I just had this problem a week or so ago. What ended up being wrong with my trike was the fuel in let on the carb was clogged it ended up taking 3 days of boiling to clean it out. When was the last time you cleaned the carb? Have you checked the reeds? And the black line you are seeing is from the autoluve pump. Hope that helps.

Remove your tank and cleanse it out thoroughly. Clean your carb with gum cutter/and the highest compressed air you have available to you. Blow out each and every orifice. Set the air idle screw to 1 1/2 turns out and she should start right up and run reliably for you for another 20 years. You will need to adjust the idle after you have ridden her and got her warmed up. Also, verify your oil injection is working by pulling that black line off at idle and verify it is pushing oil.
