i got a lead on some 3wheelers last week,,, they belong to the county road crew, they have been in a wearhouse corner for several years,,, i finally get ahold of the guy i need to talk to ,,,, i am trying to get them to donate them to me with a release of all liability for them,,,, it looks like it might work too,,,, NOW the sad part,,, oh by the way there are 3 very nice shape big reds ,,,,, anyway i go down to meet with them this afternoon and one of the shop guys says "we just crashed a whole pile of those and these are next" i ask him WTF???? Turns out last month they decided to clear out the storage building,,,, they smashed with an excavator an put in the scrap bin,,, 10 complete all running big reds i ran to see if there was anything left!!!!!! it was a big joke to them!!!! YOU KNOW THEM THINGS WILL KILL YOU ???? thats all i heard IDIOTS!!! i told them i could have ebayed the parts and probably made $10,000 DOH!!! i will have more details later!!! this might be a way for others to score on some parts trikes so start calling around!!!! these belonged to the road crew and the surveyors so get to it before they all get smashed

I agree. Go to the dumpster and salvage anything you can. They might look like a crushed can, but there are still Transmission parts, cranks, levers, brake componets, foot pegs, electrical, mabey even whole bottom ends (look for anything that might have been solid enough to survive)

yeah KASEY ,,,, did you look in the hopper or not ??? that fella just might have been feeding you a line of crap 6 miles long ( or carted them home to e-bay himself )
if you did see them in the hopper ,,, well i can just imagine you about puking. i would have been sick to my stomach if i'd seen such a site.

perhaps dealing with them on the locale level ain't so good ,,, there is a elected official to call + explain how the real world is ( road commisiner )

keep us updated man ,,, john

I'm suprised they even let you down there. Big companies with old equipment WILL NOT for any reason give or even sell them to ANYONE. My dad works at ford motor company and they crush anything old that they dont use, and they're all in good shape or so my dad says. For some reason they think they are liable even if they sign a liability release. Stupidity pure and simple, that's what places and people do with things when they dont care.

Bring it to their attention that the McMinville ,OR sheriff's department just eBay'd several 250SX's that they had in storage and netted a good little bit of cash. Maybe you could offer to help them do this. Show them a copy of the disclaimer that they used. Never know might be a good deal for you.

If that works it is a link to one of there past auctions.

Some of these county workers have yearly picnics, etc. Tell them, the money could go towards that :!:
