Tri z temp light temp

Hey guys does anyone on here know at what temperature should the red overheat light come on? I have a new guage and would like to set the overheat warning at the right temp

what gauge did you go with?

I have no idea when it comes on, but common sense would say 200 would be a good time to watch it close and 215 would be time to shut it down.

trailtech vapour its slightly on the expensive side but does everything such as speed,air temp,coolant temp,rpm,shift lights stop watch, run time, trip meter its really worth it, keep an eye on my tri z astro kit thread i will be updating that once i have it all installed

Ok cool.... i have been planning on getting the trailtech voyager which "i think" does all that plus it has a good trail map system on it which i think is cool... I will keep an eye on your build thread

yes you are correct i was going to get that but its abit bigger and wouldnt fit in between my flex bars which is where i have it mounted so far they seem like a great product i just have to connect the speedo

If it's the same sending unit yamaha used on the 87 Inviter, which was a liquid cooled 300 cc snowmobile it will come on seconds after the plastic water pump impeller melts

The switch should have continuity, and turn on the light, at more than 105 +/- 3 degrees C (221 +/- 37.4 degrees F). As the coolant cools down, the switch should lose continuity, and turn off the light, at less than 98 degrees C (208.4 degrees F).

Good point, I would agree that Yamaha manuals are amongst the easiest to navigate.
