Ryan here - I just got my '85 Honda 200S running again that my pops bought brand new in 1985.

- New Carb
- New Plug
- New Ignition Coil
- Fresh Oil
- 3 New tires
- 2 New rear rims

Runs like a dream - 58-60mph wide open and purrs like a kitten. Idles nice (not sure how to adjust top end yet or if there is an adjustment?)

Thing I noticed is after running it long, it seems there is an oil leak around the compression lever "hinge" - at least that is where it seems to be. Not bad, I've just been checking the oil.

I'm mechanically inclined but have never dismantled a ATC motor. Is this a case where it is too much work/money to worry about this? I'm picky and would love to have it "perfect" but may have to settle. My only option to have it fixed is take it to local Sportland shop that works on Honda's and charges $75/hr

:welcome: and nice 200s. Okay there is a seal that seals the decomp shaft, and it sounds like yours is bad it is easy and cheap to change. all you have to do to get the decomp lever out is take the 10mm bolt out of the top of the rocker cover and it pulls out. then just pull the seal out and press the new one in.

Thanks - I had it all tire shined up but after 1 drive, it wasn't so shiny. The pic doesn't do it justice. Man, that just made my day - I was nervous to just pull the lever out. Thanks for the tip - very much appreciated!
