I bought an old big red but she needed love. So I gave it love like repainting the racks and fixing the electrical while adding an LED floodlight.

Ya she definitely isn't pretty but I love it and I gave it a bit of love and took it apart and got familiar with some of it. Most of my mods were done just to keep her alive. I also have another engine, rear axle and a bunch of other parts that I got with it all for $500.

Well thanks I like it too I could have installed it better is all. So you have a 350x? How cool are those things?

They are very cool and very addictive. I've got 2 running and 2 rollers.
I'm working on the engine of one of the rollers to get a third machine going.
I'll need some parts to bring the fourth one back to life.
You have a great project there too. I love my Big Red.

Ya I havent rode it a ton yet but I love the old girl already but I kinda want a faster more race capable trike to keep up with my buds who have 250r bikes. But I thnk my best option might just be a 250r race quad. Although a trike would be way cooler!

Here are some better pics, including the rear storage bin which can hold like 8 cold ones when ripping around and the factory auxiliary electrical accessory plug in thing.
So I have a question for you guys are there any good grips you guys have put on a 1985 big red? Mine are all beat up but I don't know what to look for online.

I always opt for OEM grips from Babbit's, Partzilla and such.
