I just joined the Facebook page 'ModernTrikeHybrids' and it got me thinking.. I have an extra 3 wheeler frame, I think it's a 200m frame, and I also have 2 Polaris trail boss 4 wheelers with the 2 smoke 250s in them and as far as I know they run still. I'm kinda thinking about swapping some parts around for a full suspension rig.. I don't believe it will be too difficult. Who here has built their own trike?

It really depends on what exactly you consider building your own trike. I've just about got my AutoX finished. I have plans for a suspended 185 and there are others here who have built them. I have a KLT250 that I'd like to fix up and also put rear suspension on some day. Others have done a bike to trike conversion. there's really a lot you can do if you have the equipment and knowledge. Are you talking about putting a Polaris engine onto the 200M frame? Remember that the rngine and transmissions are seperate on the Polaris so they would be longer than the 200M engine.

Ya know I'm not sure, Ivery seen a few people take quads and turn them into trikes and dirtbike turned into them as well. And I haven't really done too much 'visual building' but I'm thinking about either chopping up the 200 frame and using that as a base or the rear half of the Polaris and milling out some triples, finding some forks from a wrecked dirtbike and throwing it all together. Just an idea I've been thinking about

I have done the auto X trike. Other than that I did a trike to quad conversion. 247708

Don't worry about Kasey's stuff, you aren't even in the conceptual ballpark on trikes like that. Basically what you need to do is cut the front of the trail boss off and attach a trike frontend. Use a P3 frontend if you wanna be really trick.

What exactly is a p3 ? And your right, those builds aren't really in my ballpark. I just want something that I can trail ride on and rip around on. The only trike I've ridden with any kind of suspension is my dad's 200s and that only has front susp.

A P3 is a Polaris three wheeler. I have thought about doing something similar to what you're talking about with the Polaris rear and a trike front. I just wasn't sure that I could make it look right.
