Have question about 250r big bore cases

I had a 250r engine with 350pv cylinder. I was rebuilding the motor split the cases and screwed up one of the side cases. I had a spare case and put the motor back together and forgot one case was stock and one was bored out for the 350 pv cylinder. I have decided to go with a 310 cylinder that does not need the cases bored can I run the motor with one case bored and the other not bored ? will it cause a problem. I guess I should know the answer but don't any help would be appreciated Thanks Glenn O.

I doubt it, but you need to put the two sides together and make sure the height of the two sides is the same where the cylinder mounts. There’s a chance the bored cases were decked during the process and if so one side might be lower than the other and that would need to be fixed.
