83-84 250r pipe silencer questions

Hi there I recently got a two 83 250r and only one came with a pipe and I'm wondering if there's any others pipes out there besides the dg. I would get a used one but most I see are in pretty rough shape so I'm not really interested in that. Thanks👍

Well, you basically have three options: 1) the DG system 2) look for a used old school on ebay and facebook 3) buy a new cone pipe--I saw LED just made one for a 2nd generation R. The DG is relatively inexpensive for a new system, about $400. I like my DG system, although a lot of people don't. I think it may be based on one of the Team Honda pipes back in the day, it looks very similar to some of the pictures I've seen. On my 84 it has a really strong hit around 3/4 throttle. For nice old-school pipe you can pay anywhere from $300 to $600, depending on the condition and rarity. For the LED pipe, expect to pay around $800. That's for a brand new hand coned pipe and silencer.
