Hey everyone, long time no see! In Hawai'i, ATCs are pretty scarce... but I happened upon this little 70 in pieces on another island and it arrived today! I am putting it together piece by piece, and am doing my best.(I need a manual, PDF anyone?). But I thought I would post up some pics and some progress as I go. This, along with a CRF50 motor(not pictured), is basically what I am starting with. Not sure how this will go, or if it will go, but any help would be appreciated! Came with a spare set of forks and handlebars if anyone needs!

I'm only replying to this because I happen to be on Maui right now. Aloha!

Looks to be a great machine to start with. I'm not too sure on the CRF50 motor though, is it kickstart?

It was only 40 dollars for the motor, and I don't have rear fenders. Shipping rear plastics to the islands, like most things, is expensive. Figured I would just be fenderless for the time being.

Nice start. I just finished one. It was complete so if you have any questions just ask away. I took mine completely apart and cleaned every part and bolt. Fun little machines.

Yes crf50 motors are kick start and it will bolt right in to his atc70 frame

Thanks everyone for the replies. Do you know if the stock atc70 exhaust would work, and the CRF50 intake/carb will bolt right up, or do I need something else?

^Trial and error I suppose. I believe the 50has a shorter stroke so everything may not line up 100% . Probably not more than elongating the holes. My concern would be the diameter of the head pipe and whether the flange bolts up or not.

Atc 70 head pipe will fit. I run crf50 exhaust on most of mine.

thank you, I'll try and find one that fits for me. I am having difficulty with the rear brake, Is the rear axle supposed to be equal length? My sprocket side lines up fine... but not the brake hub. Stupid question, but you never know.

Yes, it should be the same.

Thank you for the advice. Getting close! Need to adjust the rear brake cable, buy an exhaust, buy a carb, figure out the wiring, few misc things here and there.. Engine has yet to be detailed, so please excuse the nastiness.

Two quick questions:

1. Do I need a specific intake? My CRF50 intake goes directly underneath the frame. Does a ATC70 intake go at an angle?

2. Is the stock atc70 wiring sufficient, or should I run the stock CRF50 stuff? Thanks in advance!

Also, if anyone had a cheap exhaust lying around..! :D
