86 200x cam to 84 200x

No, They are different. The 83-85 are the same, and the 86 -87 are completely different from the 83-85. However I have an 85 200X top end I'd trade for 86 parts :)

Sometimes it helps to tell us which trike you have....I am gonna assume the 84 200x. Forget about the 86 I am sorry, as far as I know no engine parts are interchangeable. Now if indeed you have the 84 200x you might wanna look into the xr200? (help me out folks is that the right one??) For top ends :-D

Yea, thats what I have for it...I had it on my little X and then decided to put it back to stock. There are so many years of the XR200R that will fit the 83-85 200X, it can be hard to find the right year. Alot of those bikes were 4 valve motors.

Jenn and I have both had Experience messing around with the 86-87 200X's. There is really nuthing interchangable with the 200X (84) your talking about and the 86, or 87. So no the topp end off the 86 will not bolt onto the 84.

I believe its the 81-83 xr200 motors that are interchangeable with the 83-85 200x's.....You might be able to find a cam on www.ebay.com or post an add in the classifieds...i pretty much know the 83-85 200x's in and out....so if you need anything....just PM me...i have parts and a manual!

No, the early ones do not work. It is the later ones that are the same. I have a top end off an 87 XR200R on my bike..Well Part of it.

would love to do the tranny transfer to have the sweet sixth gear :D
