View Full Version : Uggg!!! Who else hates there wife having garage sales??
A vent thread
Who else gets irked by wife’s garage sales? Every time she decides to have one, she goes through my things wanting to sell them. It doesn’t matter if I havnt worn those pants for a year, they are mine and still fit.
The worst part is she opens up the garage for everyone to see. Everything does have a price but damn. They come back days later “ I’ll give you 1k for your brand new jet ski, give you $50 for that 250r over there, the TR750 is only worth $800”.
It gets tiredsome.
And I swear to god I am missing tools every single time.

Read the Red Pill Thread, grow a set and lock your garage door. If she does it again put her panty drawer on the lawn and put a "5 for a buck" sign up next to it.

He has enough trouble with ppl trying to buy his toys for cheap....can you imagine the creepos that would show up trying to buy his wife's panties all the time? This would make his problem worse by far [emoji23][emoji23]

Everything went to the 3ww family. However, the 87 200x ( I set the price stupid high) I’m not sure where it went.

I told my wife that if she wanted to have a garage sale it would be a YARD sale. I WILL NOT ALLOW STRANGERS TO WANDER THRU MY GARAGE OR MY HOUSE, and the house will be locked. If someone has to pee they can use the woods.
She ended up having one, house and garage off limits. They ended up getting some small stuff stolen off of a couple of the tables. Piddly crap they were selling for 5.00 or less. It was kids. One of the other neighbor ladies saw it, but "didn't want to make a fuss". Told the wife those kids were lucky I wasn't there.
My comment? "You wondered why I didn't want anyone in the house or garage?"
She's decided she won't be having another. Beside the amount of work that goes into one.
Pretty f-n pitiful when people steal petty little shyte that's being sold for pennies on the dollar.

I like doing a yard sale myself. We put up a little tent ( 40 x 100 ) and put on a mini Circus. We do it during the 127 Yard sale. We do not and will not use the garage / shop. too many sticky fingers.

A thread with Macs and Howdy in it? I'm in a time warp! Wifie always wants to have a rummage sale every year. Never happening. Way too many prying eyes. Cleared out 3 girls bedrooms last month and took 2 truck loads to ARW. Got my tax write off receipts and washed my hands of the whole mess ;)

It's an arguing partner for when you're bored and feel like conflict.
Sometimes you have sex with them but the sex to arguing ratio is 100:1.....your results may vary. If arguing gave you an orgasm, women would stop arguing too.

That's something we all think we want; In the real world, it's so much nicer feeling happy and confident without a vagina...

That's one helluva tent. I need a new toaster oven too.
We have something similar here in Kentucky called "400 mile yard sale"

Meh, The tent could be bigger ( LOL ). When we first put the tent up I sent a picture to my sister. She replied: "The Circus is in town!! " The tent has been called the Circus tent every since. Ditchmon has stopped out a couple years ago. Yes we fill it completely and have quite a bit of extra stuff to keep it full until the last 2-3 days. We are open 9 to 13 days as Vacation days and prep work / weather allows. A slow day is $500 in sales, and busy days we have had 3 cash drawers going with lines at each. We have had over 50 cars / trucks / motorhomes here parked at 1 time. It's bad enough at times that we have 2 golf carts giving rides to and from peoples cars so they don't have to walk ( at busy times ). The 3 big days we have to have a min of 8 people working / helping. Before we got the tent a busy time would be 20-25 cars. We put the tent up and it went nuts.
Where do we get the stuff? I spend all year collecting things for this yard sale. Plus all our friends bring their stuff as well. Quite a few of us camp out behind the tent and this allows us to take breaks and have Adult drinks all day if we want. Plus it also gives us security 24 hours a day.
The whole ordeal started 14-15 years ago over a 12 pack the desire to get rid of a shed full of stuff. Never dreamed it would turn into this. I have been keeping my eyes open for another tent about the same size, at a great deal. We rent the tent out when we aren't using it ourselves. This pays for the costly up keep of the tent. These are NOT cheap.
We won't get rich doing this, but we have a great time camping and hanging out with friends for a week ( and putting some money in our pockets ).

over 90% of what you see in the picture was sold during the yard sale. The last day or 2 the tables are pretty bare. We price it to sell, and it does.

The is a lot of cost in the tent, plus utilities, ect. When it's all said and done the profit isn't that great. But hanging around with friends and all the wheeling and dealing is awesome. By the time it is done we are totally exhausted, but it's worth it. Keeps me young. ;)

We had a few after we moved and before I gathered all my toys. Way too much work. From now if it doesn't go on CL then it goes to the thrift store.
Had one recently and I swear the guys called each other as I have not had that many dudes at a garage sale and asking about my trikes, tractors and quads.
Big sign I put up said that if it is behind the tables not for sale. Did meet a couple local trike guys though.
