It seems that my lefy cylinder has a nice sized scratch in it. How it got there I have no flippin clue. And I have a dumb question, do snowmobiles have sleeved cylinders? I was told yes and no by certain people. I attached a pic of the scratch sorry quality is not that good.

I'm having a hard time seeing exactly what your talking about, better quality pics that are closer would help. Some sleds have sleeved cylinders like trikes/quads, some don't. You should be able to tell by looking at it. I wouldn't bother worrying about the scratch and/or rebuilding the motor unless it's not running, the season is more than half over.

I'll try to get some better pics tomarrow. I was told by the previous owner that it does not have a sleeved cylinder. It isnt running at all either, I've been told by several people that it needs honing or bored over, cause its a pretty bad scratch and I'm pretty sure thats the reason for it not running.

it needs to be bored out to the next bore also make sure to bore the other side the same also so each cylinder is running equally... the reason its not running is because of too low of compression.. just bore to the to the next size up or how ever far you need to to clean the cylinder up and install new pistons and rings and you will be fine.
