Longer shift lever. '83 200X options.

I have size 12 feet. Shift lever is a bit on the short side than what I would like. I ride with MX boots. Always have a problem upshifting. I have raised the lever up on the splines and is OK. Looking for better.
I have several routes:

1. Have my lever cut and extended and welded back up.
2. Find a different lever off another ATC that is longer with the same splines.
3. Aftermarket. Tusk etc.

It is a rider in good condition.

I’m really not sure if this will help (don’t own 83-85) to compare it. If 83-87 have the same splines (99% sure they are) then both of these levers in the pic will work for you. The trx250x is 1-1/2 inches longer than a stock 86/87 200x - again no 83 here to compare its length 252111 252112
